PINS FOR KIDS 2010!

The Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley has been serving children, senior citizens and people in need in Fountain Valley for over 40 years. The club is part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Who are we? The club is comprised of local business people, educators, city officials and residents, all of whom have a tremendous passion to help those in need.
What do we do? We take needy children shopping for much-needed school clothing. We provide scholarships to high school students. We mentor high school students through Key Club and KIWINfS, the two high school arms of the Kiwanis Family. We also spend one Saturday a month lending a hand to senior citizens in the community who need help cleaning their homes, sprucing up their yards or anything else that will take the burden off of them.
How do we do this work? We raise money in a number of different ways, including pancake breakfasts, golf tournaments, poker tournaments and this event, the inaugural Pins For Kids Bowling Tournament. Every penny we raise at these events goes right back into the community.
We meet for lunch, camaraderie and fun at 12:15pm Thursdays at Fountain Bowl, and youfre welcome to join us!
